Obituary
We are saddened by the passing of the ReV’d Canon David Garlick a priest of the Church of
England and a former Commissary of the Bishop of the Windward Islands for over twenty five
years. Canon Garlick served in Carriacou, Grenada and short stints in other parts of the
Diocese.
Canon Garlick was visiting Grenada when he died. He was on Bathway beach with friends from
England which included the Rev’d Canon Peter Clarke another former Commissary. He was
found dead floating in the sea at Bathway. According to the autopsy he died from a heart
attack.
His remains are scheduled to be flown back to England on Saturday 6th February, 2016.
We extend our deepest sympathy to his relatives and friends, The Rt. Revd Christopher Chessun
and the Diocese of Southwalk, UK.
Rest eternal grant unto him 0′ Lord and let light perpetual shine upon him. May he rest in
peace! Amen.
With every good wish and God’s Blessings!
Sincerely
The Rt. Rev’d C. Leopold Friday
Bishop of the Windward Islands
