I have appointed Mr. Jason Frederick of the Parish of St. Patrick, Barrouallie to represent the Diocese of the
Windward Islands on the ANGLICAN ALLIANCE CARIBBEAN FORUM. The terms of reference are attached here.

Archdeaconry Family Day

The Archdeaconry Family Day in Grenada was held on Thursday 26th May, 2016 at St. Mark, Victoria from all reports it was an enjoyable day. We give thanks to God for The Rev’d Fr. Edward R. Mark and the members of the organizing committee, The Rev’d Fr. Junior Ballantyne and members of the host parish, the Venerable 0. Samuel Nichols, preacher and other members of the Clergy and members of the parishes. Thanks to all who helped to make the occasion one of worship, fellowship and fun.

The Family Day in the Archdeaconry of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is scheduled for Sunday 19th June, 2016 with the theme: “Building Strong Families Through Love, Fellowship and Understanding.” it will be held at the Georgetown Secondary School. The preacher is The Rev’d Fr. Edward R. Mark,Priest in charge Parish of St. David and St. Paul,Grenada.

To foster further participation of our children and young people in this day of activities we are hereby extending an invitation to our children and young people to participate in the following activity using the theme for this year’s family Day:

“Building Strong Families through love,fellowship and understanding”

You can participate by presenting your impression of the theme in a:

• Painting/s
• Drawing/s
• Poem/s
• Composition/s
• Craft

All entries will be displayed on Family Day 19th June, 2016 in Georgetown.

Please submit your participation to your Parish Priest or Sunday School teacher, or bring it along with you on Family Day.

A workshop on parenting is being planned for 11th June, 2016 in Sandy Bay at the Holy Name Anglican Church, Pre-School.

The Family Day in the Archdeaconry of St. Lucia has been postponed due to the General Elections set for 6th June, 2016. Please keep these events in your prayers and begin your preparations to be present.

Prayers

Mr. Wayne Bubb is now walking and talking though not yet back to full recovery.

The Rev’d Eleanor Glasgow has completed Radio-therapy in Barbados and is now resting in Grenada as she recuperates.

The Rev’d Mr. Neville Glean is now conscious and speaking and feeding himself. He is still hospitalized.

The Rev’d Canon Clement Francis continues to attend physiotherapy sessions and his Neurologist, has to analyze the MRI, and give her prognosis.

We give thanks to God for his healing grace thus far and pray God’s continue blessings and love on the above and their families.

General Elections

Let us pray for the people of St. Lucia as they go to the polls on Monday 6th June. 2016. Pray that they accept their responsibilities to their fellow citizens, that they may elect trustworthy leaders and make wise decisions for the well-being of their society.
