Greetings!
I invite you to 24 hours of Prayer, that start 6:00a.m., Friday, 30th September, 2016 and ends 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, 1st October, 2016. We are praying under the theme
‘USE ME LORD, USE US LORD’ as prayer for our Parish, Archdeaconry, Diocese and Nation. We pray for God’s guidance, for discipline and generosity of Spirit to prevail.
Suggested readings: The reading from Lectionary page 772 and 773 along with Isaiah 6:1-8, Jeremiah 1, the book of Ezra and Nehemiah Chapter 1.
The Cathedral Church will be available for people to come and pray during the day. The 24 hours of prayer begins with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and ends with Morning Prayer.
Individuals and/or groups come to the church at any time, but there will be persons designated for each hour to pray specifically for the intention of that time slot. See attached for prayer schedule.
Persons are encouraged to light a candle as a symbol of their intention
to help the Parish’s spiritual and material growth.
