Greetings!

Hurricane Relief

Please find attached reports on the damage caused by Hurricane Irma on both the Diocese of The North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba and the Diocese of the Bahamas and the plea for assistance from Bishop Errol Brooks and Bishop Laish Boyd.

Iam asking that you kindly make an appeal for monetary contributions which can be sent to Diocesan Office to be forwarded to the Diocese of The North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba and The Diocese of the Bahamas.

I am suggesting a monetary contribution because there are parts of both Diocese which have not been affected and I think it will be easier for them to purchase the items locally and have it distributed to the affected areas.

I know that there are those who would prefer to send items, in this case you may choose to make an appeal for items and have them packaged for shipment.   This will have to be coordinated at the Archdeaconry level.  In addition you may partner with the state or organisations who are shipping items to these countries.

Please continue to pray for those who have been affected and remember we are still in the Hurricane season so: Prepare to Survive.

With every good wish and God’s blessings!

Yours sincerely

The Rt. Rev’ d C. Leopold Friday
Bishop of the Windward Islands
